Malaysia Day H-series plate bidding opens tomorrow, numbers from 1 to 9,999 up for grabs

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 15 — Bidding for special H-series vehicle registration numbers in celebration of Malaysia Day will commence tomorrow and continue until Sept 20, with numbers ranging from 1 to 9,999. Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli, director-general of the Road Transport Department (JPJ), announced that bids can be submitted through the JPJeBid app, with the outcomes to be revealed on Sept 21.

The H series holds significance as it marks the final single-letter series that JPJ will offer, symbolising unity during Malaysia Day festivities. According to Ramli, the public is urged to seize this opportunity to bid for a number, as JPJ will not issue any additional single-letter series. Unlike taxi registrations, where the letter H is paired with a state registration letter, the H series stands distinct.

For instance, taxis in Perak are registered with "HA," where 'A' signifies the state registration letter.
