Lawrence Bishnoi’s close associate Karamveer Singh deported from Canada

Karamveer Singh, a trusted ally of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, was recently deported from Canada and apprehended by the Punjab Police's Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) upon his arrival at IGI Airport in New Delhi. The AGTF had issued a look-out circular for Singh as early as September 3, citing his alleged role in providing logistical support and a hiding place to Anmol Bishnoi, brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, within the United States.

Singh is wanted in connection with an FIR registered in SAS Nagar, stemming from a 2012 murder case in Punjab where he was charged but later released on bail in 2019. His criminal background includes convictions for murder, attempt to murder, robbery, extortion, and various arms-related offences. Canadian and US court records also implicate him in a 2024 shooting and arson at singer A P Dhillon's home in British Columbia, though he has not been charged in Canada.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced the bust of 1,234 gangster modules and the deportation of 10 fugitives from abroad as part of the ongoing crackdown on gangsters.
