Elder Chidi Wihioka, a representative of the Ikwerre/Emohua Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has claimed that Rotimi Amaechi, the vice presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), is not an indigene of Ikwerre Local Government Area in Rivers State. Wihioka stated that he possesses a document to support his assertion and vowed to release it if Amaechi were to make any derogatory remarks against him.
The lawmaker explained that Amaechi used to be his son but is no longer considered an Ikwerre. Wihioka believes that the document pertains to the balkanization of Ikwerre when there were attempts to create Bayelsa State. He emphasized that if Amaechi were to make further negative comments about him, he would present the document in question to the Ikwerre people.
