Indore Khajrana Ganesh Temple Gets ₹20 Crore Insurance Cover For Devotees During Ganeshotsav

In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the Khajrana Ganesh Temple has secured a ₹20 crore public liability insurance policy for devotees attending the 10-day Ganeshotsav. This is the first time such extensive insurance coverage has been introduced at this scale. Temple management committee chairman Shivam Verma stated that the policy aims to provide an added layer of protection against accidents and unforeseen incidents during the festival.

The temple committee has also bolstered security measures for the 2026 Ganeshotsav. Increased CCTV surveillance, additional police personnel, and security guards are being deployed to enhance safety and manage the large crowds expected during the festival. The temple sees a significant influx of devotees during this period, making devotee safety and smooth darshan arrangements a top priority.

Priest Sumit Bhatt revealed that the gold ornaments adorning Lord Khajrana Ganesh Ji Maharaj are estimated at around 7 crore rupees. He mentioned that in the morning, the deity was adorned with divine ornaments and precious gems. The temple management committee has focused on devotee safety, crowd management, and ensuring a seamless darshan experience throughout the 10-day festival.

Under the new insurance policy, any accidents, untoward incidents, or loss of life during the festival could result in compensation being paid by the insurance company, as per the policy's terms. The temple committee chairman emphasized that they hope the insurance will never need to be utilized, and continuous efforts are being made to ensure the safety and convenience of all devotees.
