IIT Kanpur launches certificate programme on Python for AI, ML and deep learning

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has recently launched a four-week certificate program focused on Python for Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Deep Learning. The program will run from December 14, 2026, to January 15, 2027, with classes held online. Interested individuals include students, scholars, faculty members, industry professionals, and research and development staff.

Meritorious students from class 11 and 12 are also eligible to apply. Interested candidates can apply through the institute's official website, iitk.ac.in, by paying the required registration fee.

The program aims to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in implementing AIML and Neural Networks algorithms and software using Python projects based on real-world datasets from various domains such as business, medicine, science, and engineering. Key Python libraries to be utilized include NumPy, Matplotlib, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and Keras.

IIT Kanpur will deliver the classes via the Zoom platform, with sessions scheduled during evenings and weekends for participant convenience. No prior programming experience is necessary to enroll in the program. Participants will require a laptop with Python installed, and they may utilize integrated development environments, such as Anaconda or Spyder, for Python programming.
