Amitabh Bachchan slams retirement rumours: ‘Not retiring from work any time soon’

Renowned Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has addressed recent retirement rumors, clarifying that he has no plans to cease working. The actor posted a note on his blog, stating "its late, time to retire," which was mistakenly interpreted as confirmation of his retirement. Bachchan emphasized that this phrase means retiring to bed, not leaving the workforce.

He further clarified that he is not retiring from work anytime soon, explaining that "retire" in English implies going to sleep. Additionally, Bachchan reflected on his experience hosting the ongoing season of the quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati. Some contestants have shared deeply personal stories, making it emotionally challenging for him to continue hosting.

Despite this, Bachchan expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the experience, stating that it has been a "heart-breaking" journey. He currently stars in the films Section 84 and Kalki 2, the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, where he reprises his role as Ashwatthama.
