13 injured as Houthi missile, drone attacks hit three Saudi cities

Thirteen civilians sustained injuries in Houthi missile and drone assaults on three Saudi cities, according to the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen. Major General Turki Al Maliki, a Coalition spokesman, reported that the Houthis targeted civilian areas in Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Taif with ballistic missiles and drones.

The attacks resulted in seven residential homes and two vehicles suffering damage, with injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Al Maliki stated that the repeated strikes indicated an intensifying Houthi campaign aimed at civilian populations and infrastructure. He affirmed that the coalition would respond appropriately and strictly to safeguard Saudi sovereignty, civilians, and civilian facilities.

The response would comply with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, the principle of self-defense, and international humanitarian law. Al Maliki pledged to deploy all necessary measures to dissuade further attacks and counter the Houthis' hostile actions. The reported incident occurred amid escalating tensions, including a potential Saudi oil pipeline strike and the ongoing Yemen crisis.
