Xiaomi Pad 9 and Pad 9 Pro Arrive Shortly After Pad 9 Pro Max

Xiaomi has introduced the Pad 9 and Pad 9 Pro tablets in China, following the release of the larger Pad 9 Pro Max. The new tablets do not utilize Xiaomi's XRING O3 chipset, instead featuring Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 in the Pad 9 Pro and Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 in the standard Pad 9. Both devices boast high-refresh-rate 3.2K LCD displays with 144Hz refresh rates, 12-bit color depth, and support for various HDR formats.

The Pad 9 Pro has a larger 12.5-inch display with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, while the standard Pad 9 has an 11.2-inch screen with 800 nits peak brightness. Both tablets support Xiaomi's magnetic pen and PC-style floating keyboard. The Pad 9 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 octa-core processor, while the standard Pad 9 uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4.

The Pro model comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB storage, while the standard Pad 9 offers 12GB of RAM and the same storage capacity. The Pad 9 Pro includes a 50MP main camera and a 32MP front camera, capable of recording 4K video, while the Pad 9 has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Both tablets come with different storage and RAM configurations, starting from $450 for the 8GB+128GB Pad 9 and $570 for the 8GB+128GB Pad 9 Pro.
