Safaricom has clarified how Pochi la Biashara users can pay Kenya Power bills and purchase electricity tokens using their business wallet. This comes after a customer, Otipa Junter Ke, expressed confusion over the inability to buy Kenya Power tokens via Pochi la Biashara. Safaricom provided a step-by-step guide for small business owners facing this issue.

To complete the payment, customers should dial *334# on their mobile phones, select Pochi la Biashara, then choose Lipa na Pochi, and finally opt for the Paybill option. For Kenya Power, the Kenya Power Paybill number 888880, or the vendor's Paybill number if applicable, should be entered. The electricity meter number serves as the account number, followed by the payment amount. The transaction is finalized with the M-PESA PIN.

This process allows business owners to settle their electricity bills directly from their Pochi la Biashara wallet, eliminating the need for an intermediary transfer. Pochi la Biashara is an M-PESA service aimed at separating business funds from personal finances for small enterprises, enabling them to manage business money through their existing mobile number. The service also supports eligible payments through the Lipa na Pochi option, allowing business owners to spend directly from their business funds.
