He reiterated that the US would eventually withdraw from Iran unless they opted to remain and maintain control over the oil, similar to how Venezuela benefited from such a deal. Trump further noted that Iran's revenue from Venezuela had covered the costs of the war multiple times.

An Iranian cargo vessel was reported to have been hit off Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz, resulting in one fatality and four injuries, according to Iranian state media. The attack was attributed to a "terrorist enemy," as per state-run IRNA. The attack occurred on Sunday. Separately, Oman announced the postponement of planned talks between Iran and Gulf countries in Oman, aimed at discussing potential agreements regarding the Strait of Hormuz.

The meeting, originally scheduled for Monday, was postponed "in the interests of consensus," according to Oman's Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi, who reiterated the commitment to fostering dialogue that promotes stability and enduring cooperation in the region.
