UP NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 Registration Begins Today At 5 PM On upneet.gov.in; Check Schedule, Fees And Guidelines

The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME) in Uttar Pradesh will commence the second online counselling round for the UP NEET UG 2026 admissions today, September 14, 2026. Registrations will be open from 5 PM on the official website, upneet.gov.in, and will continue until September 17, 2026, at 11 AM. Candidates can submit their registration fee and security amount by September 17 at 2 PM.

The merit list for the second round will be published on September 17, followed by a period of online choice-filling from September 17 to September 19. Seat allotment results will be released on September 21, and the corresponding admission letters and admission procedures will commence from September 22 to September 25, 2026.

Candidates who were not allotted seats in Round 1, those who received admission in the first round, and those covered under the Free Exit provision are exempt from paying the security deposit for Round 2. The applicable security deposit amounts are ₹30,000 for government medical/dental colleges, ₹2,00,000 for private medical colleges, and ₹1,00,000 for private dental colleges.

To register, candidates must visit upneet.gov.in, click on the Round 2 registration link, enter required details, complete the application form, pay the fees and security amount, and download the confirmation page. Candidates must ensure that they complete registration and security deposit within the stipulated deadlines.

During the choice-filling process, candidates will see seats that were vacant, unreported, or resigned in Round 1 as "Clear-cut Vacancies." They can fill seats against cancellation (SAC) options, which are treated as virtual vacancies. There is no limit on the number of choices a candidate can fill, but they should only select colleges and seats where they genuinely wish to admit. Candidates must lock their choices after filling them, as failure to do so will result in exclusion from the seat allotment process.
