'Take This Matter Seriously...': Marathi Actress Kalyani Nandkishor Attacked By Goons In Pune, NCP's Supriya Sule Requests Devendra Fadnavis To Take Strict Action

On September 14, Marathi actress Kalyani Nandkishor shared a video on Instagram detailing an incident that occurred while she was traveling from Mumbai to Satara near Pune's Navale Bridge. Four goons stopped her car and attempted to extort money from her, as well as threatened to take her forcibly inside their vehicle, leaving her with bruises on her hand. Kalyani questioned the safety of women and shared her experience of filing a police complaint.

Supriya Sule, leader of the Nationalist Congress Party, took to X to demand that Maharashtra Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis address the matter seriously and take strict action against the assailants. Sule tweeted that the incident, which took place near Pune's Navale Bridge, is an outrageous act of harassment against citizens, happening right under the nose of the Pune Home Department.

In her tweet, Supriya Sule expressed concern about the state of law and order in Pune. She also requested the Maharashtra Home Minister to take the matter seriously and take appropriate action against the goons who troubled Kalyani Nandkishor.

Kalyani Nandkishor confirmed that she had filed a police complaint at Narhe police station. She thanked Women Police Officer Varsha Deshmukh and Thite Saheb for their assistance. However, Kalyani expressed dissatisfaction with the lengthy process of filing a complaint. In her video, she stated that she went to the police station at 11 pm and remained there until 6 am. Kalyani also appealed to Maharashtra's leaders to take strict action against the goons involved in the incident.
