Swiss Sportswear brand On welcomes collegiate standout Doris Lemngole to professional roster

Swiss sportswear company On has announced the signing of collegiate track sensation Doris Lemongole, a standout athlete from Kenya. Lemongole, who previously signed an NIL agreement with On, is now transitioning to a professional contract with the brand's expanding roster of elite athletes. During her tenure as a student-athlete at the University of Alabama, Lemongole cemented her status as one of the most formidable distance runners in NCAA history.

She claimed back-to-back NCAA Cross Country Championship titles in 2024 and 2025, setting the NCAA record for the fastest winning time in the event with an astonishing 18:25.4. Lemongole also excelled on the track, winning the 2025 NCAA Indoor 5000m title and securing consecutive Outdoor NCAA 3000m Steeplechase Championships in 2024 and 2025.

Her individual achievements are equally impressive, including the historic collegiate record of 8:58.15 in the steeplechase and the prestigious Bowerman award, the highest honor in collegiate track and field, which she claimed as the first athlete from the University of Alabama and first Kenyan recipient in history. Lemongole's impact on the global running scene is already evident, as she dominated her Diamond League debut with a stellar performance in the 3000m steeplechase at the Athletissima meeting in Lausanne.

She continued this momentum in Tokyo, representing Kenya at the 2025 World Athletics Championships and securing a commendable 5th place finish in a highly competitive field. On's Head of Athletics, Niklas Buehner, expressed pride in Lemongole's transition to their professional roster, noting her exceptional performance and global impact.

Lemongole herself highlighted the significance of the deal, stating that it marked the beginning of a new chapter in her career, built on the unwavering support and belief of the On team throughout her collegiate journey.
