Qatar, Malta explore stronger trade and investment ties

Rashid bin Hamad Al Athba, Second Vice Chairman of Qatar Chamber, met with Malta's Ambassador to Qatar, HE Maria Camilleri Calleja. The two discussed strengthening economic and trade relations between the two countries, as well as exploring opportunities for further collaboration among Qatari and Maltese businesses.

Al Athba commended the robust ties between Qatar and Malta. He emphasized the Qatar Chamber's commitment to fostering stronger partnerships between Qatari and Maltese companies across diverse economic sectors. The Qatari market, he noted, is receptive to investments, offering an array of incentives and facilities to draw in foreign capital and bolster the business climate.

Ambassador Calleja expressed Malta's keen interest in exploring investment prospects in Qatar and deepening cooperation with local businesses. She suggested the idea of holding a business forum that would bring together entrepreneurs from both nations to discuss potential collaborations in areas such as food, trade, services, pharmaceuticals, innovation, and other sectors of mutual interest.
