President Sheikh Mohamed receives Albanian President Bajram Begaj in Abu Dhabi

President Sheikh Mohamed of the United Arab Emirates hosted Albanian President Bajram Begaj in Abu Dhabi on Monday. The meeting aimed to strengthen the relationship between the two nations. Mr Begaj, who was in the UAE for a working visit, expressed optimism that the visit would further deepen bilateral ties and expand cooperation.

The discussions focused on a wide range of subjects, including the economy, trade, renewable energy, technology, and infrastructure. Both leaders emphasized the importance of supporting the prosperity of their citizens while advancing shared interests. During the meeting, President Begaj presented Sheikh Mohamed with the Grand Star of the Supreme Order of the Eagle, Albania's highest state decoration.

This recognition acknowledged Sheikh Mohamed's contributions to enhancing UAE-Albania relations and promoting their development across various sectors.

Sheikh Mohamed thanked Mr Begaj for the honor and reiterated his dedication to building upon the progress made in bilateral relations. The leaders also addressed the upcoming 2026 UN Water Conference, scheduled to be held in the UAE. They reaffirmed their commitment to sustainability and tackling water-related challenges through continued cooperation in international forums.

Regional and international issues were discussed, with both sides stressing the significance of strengthening security, stability, and peace in their respective regions and globally.
