Police intercept vehicle carrying suspected counterfeit alcohol in Samburu

Police in Samburu County apprehended a vehicle believed to be transporting counterfeit alcohol during an intelligence-driven operation aimed at curbing illicit alcoholic products. The intercept occurred at the Suguta Marmar roadblock, where officers from the Suguta Marmar Police Station and detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Samburu Central halted the motor vehicle.

The detained vehicle was subsequently taken to Maralal Police Station as authorities commence the process of determining the nature and source of the recovered products.
