NPFL: Sporting thrash Inter 3-0 in Lagos derby

On Sunday, Sporting Lagos secured a 3-0 victory over Inter Lagos in their local Lagos derby at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos. Sodiq Ayoade scored the opening goal for Sporting Lagos in the seventh minute. The visitors added two more goals in the second half, with Aliyu Baba and Valentine Ogwu finding the back of the net.

In Kano, Barau FC maintained their unbeaten streak with a 3-1 win against Ranchers Bees at the Sani Abacha Stadium. Ahmadu Liman put Barau FC ahead just before the half-time mark. Kennedy Otunuya and Sugau Aliyu netted late goals for Barau FC, securing a 3-1 victory.

Elsewhere, in Abia State, Abia Warriors and Ikorodu City ended their encounter with a 2-2 draw at an unspecified location. Emeka Obioma scored both goals for Abia Warriors, while Ilechukwu Junior and Akorede Adeoye were on target for Ikorodu City.

In Benin City, Bendel Insurance emerged victorious in a high-scoring game against Kun Khalifat FC, with a final score of 4-2. The home team took an early lead with goals from Alex Oweilayefa, Suraju Lawal, and Chinedu Nwosu. Uchechukwu Onuoha and Nwosu scored late to maintain Bendel Insurance's 3-0 lead.
