Muslim rally must not be limited to Umno-PAS, says Pejuang

Umno and PAS have announced plans to host a massive rally to rally a million Muslims and strengthen ties between the two dominant Malay-based political parties. Pejuang, a politically significant group, has urged the two parties to ensure their event is inclusive, open to supporters of other parties as well. Pejuang's information chief, Rafique Rashid Ali, stated that the rally must go beyond being merely an Umno-PAS affair, calling for all who seek Malay-Muslim unity to be welcomed.

He emphasized that dwelling on past divisions and egos would prevent unity from occurring. The rally's organizers, including Bersatu and Pejuang, both part of Perikatan Nasional, must work together without favoritism or dominance. Rafique stressed that unity requires setting aside personal interests for a greater cause, and the rally's success hinges on the participants' ability to cooperate and avoid further insults and betrayals.
