Musk’s X Corp and SpaceXAI resolve antitrust lawsuit against Apple

Elon Musk's X Corp and SpaceXAI announced on Monday that they have reached a resolution in their federal court lawsuit in Texas, which accused Apple of monopolizing markets for smartphones and generative AI chatbots. The court filing revealed that X and SpaceXAI have decided to dismiss their lawsuit against Apple, though the reasons behind the dismissal and any potential settlement have not been disclosed.

The lawsuit, filed last year, alleged that Apple unlawfully used its exclusive integration of ChatGPT into Apple Intelligence features on iPhones and other Apple devices, effectively blocking competitors in its partnership with OpenAI. Despite the resolution, Musk's companies have stated they will continue pursuing claims against the ChatGPT maker, OpenAI, which is also named as a defendant in the lawsuit. Apple and OpenAI have not yet commented on the development.
