Minister launches Companies House to streamline business registration

Minister of Commerce and Industry, Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, inaugurated Companies House on Monday, a pivotal move towards consolidating company registration, licensing, and related services across Qatar's economic zones. The new entity aims to streamline procedures, enhance coordination among zones, and foster a more investor-friendly business environment.

Companies House will manage registrations, grant licenses for activities, and maintain public registers of the Qatar Financial Centre, Qatar Free Zones Authority, Qatar Science & Technology Park, and Media City Qatar. In addition to company registration, the body will offer tax and immigration services, and ensure compliance with labor standards and data protection regulations.

Sheikh Faisal expressed that unifying these functions would simplify the process for investors to establish businesses in Qatar's special economic zones. The establishment of Companies House aligns with Qatar's National Vision 2030, emphasizing the nation's commitment to a competitive, efficient, and integrated investment ecosystem.
