JSALK Beverages pays medical bills of struggling nursing mothers at Nkawie-Toase Hospital

JSALK Beverages Ghana Limited, the makers of Eden Yuan Mineral Water, have stepped up their Corporate Social Responsibility efforts by covering the medical and delivery bills of struggling nursing mothers at the Nkawie-Toase Government Hospital in Ashanti Region. Led by Deputy Managing Director Frank Attakorah, JSALK Beverages paid off all outstanding bills for mothers who had delivered but were struggling to pay their healthcare costs.

The company also donated 60 packs of its popular Eden Yuan bottled mineral water to the hospital's Maternity Department.

Attakorah, whose birthday fell on the day of the donation, used the occasion to stress the importance of safe, purified water for human health. "About 70% of the human body is made of water. Water is life. Drinking safe, clean water helps with digestion, regulates body temperature, flushes out toxins from the kidney, carries nutrients to cells, and keeps our skin and organs healthy," he explained.

He warned the public against drinking water from unhygienic sources, which can lead to water-borne diseases like cholera, typhoid, and diarrhoea. JSALK Beverages' Eden Yuan water undergoes strict purification processes to meet international safety standards.

The hospital management and staff expressed deep gratitude for the timely assistance, saying it would relieve financial burdens on the mothers and help reduce congestion in the maternity ward. They encouraged other corporations and philanthropists to follow suit. The affected nursing mothers were overjoyed, thanking the company for their help.
