Dambai ECG Hospital appeals for medical equipment

The Medical Superintendent of Kpandai Evangelical Church of Ghana (ECG) Hospital, Dr Sonlaar Joseph, has called for assistance from philanthropists, NGOs, and individuals to equip the recently established ECG Hospital in Dambai, Oti Region. Despite the hospital's aim to provide quality healthcare to the residents of Dambai and surrounding areas, it needs additional equipment to operate efficiently and deliver comprehensive medical services.

Dr Sonlaar Joseph made this appeal during an interview with Adom News Correspondent, Odehyeba Owusu Job, after the hospital's commissioning. He explained that the hospital was established through the collective vision and commitment of Kpandai ECG Hospital staff, alongside support from internally generated funds. Some staff members had to guarantee their payslips to secure loans, while internal funds from the Kpandai hospital also contributed to the project's construction and establishment.

The hospital's total investment was over GH¢6 million. The 70-bed facility is expected to enhance healthcare access for residents of Dambai and nearby communities. The Paramount Chief of Chunkey Traditional Area, Dasebre Nana Kwame Bonja, praised the Evangelical Church of Ghana for the hospital's establishment and pledged traditional support.

He urged the hospital's management to maintain neutrality in politics and ensure equal, quality care for all patients, regardless of their political affiliation. The Chief also emphasized the importance of professional conduct among healthcare workers, urging them to treat patients with courtesy, respect, and make them feel valued.
