‘I’m suffering’ – Motherless 12-year-old who lost both legs, father in Ofankor-Pokuase crash seeks support

Twelve-year-old Angelina Stickings is seeking public assistance to aid her recovery and return to school following a fatal crash in Ofankor-Pokuase on August 13, 2026, which claimed her father and six others. Currently undergoing treatment for severe injuries at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, Angelina lost both her legs and her mother six months prior to the accident.

She remains in pain, expressing her suffering in a recent emotional plea from her hospital bed. Angelina's brother, John Stickings, explained that the financial strain of her medical expenses has been difficult for the family, and they are urgently seeking funds to provide her with prosthetic limbs and help her return to school.

The family is now mobilizing resources to support her recovery. The police investigation into the crash is ongoing, with the driver of the involved tricycle being arrested after initially fleeing the scene.
