‘He kept asking for more takes’: Stunt duo on Nani pushing his body to the limit for Paradise

Stunt choreographers Ram-Lakshman have revealed the grueling nature of working with Nani on the fight sequences for the film Paradise. Despite their extensive experience in over 250 films, the duo deemed this assignment as one of the toughest they had ever faced. The acting duo's dedication to the stunt work was particularly noteworthy, with Nani pushing himself to the limit during the filming process.

Describing a specific fight sequence, the choreographers highlighted Nani's tireless efforts, repeatedly asking them to "do it" even after a take was approved. The duo also noted Nani's involvement in the preparation, including checking on the prep work and scouting locations with them. They used iPad cameras to map out the sequences and spent several days scouting a tree location ahead of the shoot.

The choreographers mentioned that Nani's styling, such as braids and chains, posed some constraints during the stunts, but they turned these limitations into a signature look by incorporating a spinning bun into the fight scenes. The Ram-Lakshman team confirmed that the action sequences in Paradise reflect Korean action cinema and that they personally designed two of the film's major fight sequences, influenced by that style.

Parity stands out from their previous work, as they started fresh, drawing from their extensive experience but focusing on new body language, hero setup, and a unique emotional angle. The choreographers also elaborated on the director Srikanth Odela's meticulous nature, who demands exacting control over the shots.
