Cody Kuebler, now 25, began mowing neighbors' lawns at age 11. Initially, he charged $25 per lawn. At 14, he started anew after his parents divorced and the family relocated to Des Moines. Kuebler initially struggled to maintain his customer base after losing them during his parents' divorce. As he grew older, he expanded his business by adding services like snow removal using riding lawn mowers and winter equipment.

By his senior year in high school, he had already invested in various vehicles and machinery, totaling around $2.5 million in assets. Kuebler's entrepreneurial spirit grew further when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, leading to an increase in home-based activities like lawn care. His business, CLK Landscape Construction, experienced a nearly nine-fold growth in revenue over two years, reaching $730,000.

Kuebler has since shifted his focus towards working with builders and commercial clients, despite facing challenges such as underbidding jobs and missing deadlines. Despite the demanding six-day workweek and substantial financial responsibilities, Kuebler remains dedicated to his business and enjoys being his own boss.
