GKL donates $20,000 via Red Cross to aid Nepal flood victims

Grand Korea Leisure (GKL), the operator of the Seven Luck casinos, has donated 30 million won, equivalent to approximately $20,200, to aid communities recovering from devastating floods in Nepal. The decision to donate these funds was approved by a social value committee meeting held on Thursday. The Korean Red Cross will receive the donation, which will be used to provide emergency relief supplies and assist in restoring damaged housing, according to GKL.

The company expressed condolences to those who lost their lives, families, and those who lost their homes and livelihoods in the disaster. GKL hoped that recovery efforts would move swiftly so that affected communities could resume their daily lives. This donation is part of GKL's ongoing disaster relief efforts, both within Korea and internationally.

In 2025, GKL, in collaboration with its social contribution foundation, contributed a total of 160 million won to the Korean Red Cross to support recovery efforts following wildfires and heavy rains in the country. Additionally, in July, GKL made a 20 million won donation to the organization for earthquake recovery efforts in Venezuela.
