Felda has announced that, in addition to FGV, an audit firm is being appointed to conduct forensic audits on various other subsidiaries. Kuala Lumpur: Felda Investment Fund Holdings Bhd (FGV) has appointed a firm to conduct a forensic audit into specific issues involving an entity with corporate ties to the group. Simultaneously, the process of appointing audit firms is underway for some other subsidiaries.

This appointment is carried out in accordance with Prime Minister's advice, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the Felda 2030 Special Purpose Committee. The move is specifically aimed at improving the governance and management of the Felda Group for the integrity of the agency, said Felda. Felda will continue to investigate the need for appointing audit firms to conduct professional and thorough forensic audits of Felda and all organizations under the Felda Group.

Forensic auditing of Felda began in 2019 with the appointment of EY, with the audit report tabled in Parliament in Felda's White Paper in 2020. The latest forensic audit reflects the continued management commitment to strengthening governance, accountability, integrity and compliance at all levels of operations. Felda remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring the interests and well-being of the organization and the people it serves are always protected and upheld.
