FGV appoints independent firm to conduct forensic audit

FGV Holdings Bhd, a subsidiary of the Felda Group, has engaged an independent audit firm to conduct a forensic audit, aimed at enhancing the governance and sustainability of the Felda Group. This decision aligns with recommendations from the prime minister, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, and a special committee evaluating Felda's strategic plan for 2025-2030.

The forensic audit is specifically intended to bolster governance, accountability, transparency, and compliance across all levels of operation within the group. Felda affirmed that this initiative is part of a broader commitment to ensure the protection and preservation of the organisation's interests and the well-being of its settlers.

Several other Felda subsidiaries are also in the process of appointing independent audit firms, demonstrating a group-wide dedication to improving corporate governance. This is not the first such audit for Felda; the company previously hired Ernst & Young for a forensic audit in 2019, with the findings subsequently presented in Parliament via the Felda White Paper in 2020.
