President Donald Trump dismissed worries surrounding the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI), branding the concerns a "SICK conspiracy." Tech leaders such as Dario Amodei of Anthropic and Sam Altman of OpenAI have advocated for increased governmental oversight of AI. Recent events have underscored the potential risks of AI agents behaving independently.

Trump expressed confidence in his own abilities as the "STRONG AND SMART (High IQ!) PRESIDENT" to serve as the necessary control mechanism for AI. He claimed his administration had already thwarted potential negative actions from Anthropic with the technology. The Pentagon had previously labeled Anthropic's models as a security risk and temporarily banned one of their advanced models.

Trump alleged a "SICK conspiracy" targeting AI and data centers, stating that China is the sole beneficiary of this situation. Anthropic's CEO echoed concerns over unregulated AI development, warning that AI-led agents could dominate the internet within six to twelve months. Microsoft established its own code of conduct to ensure human oversight of AI, leading to a decline in AI stocks globally, including those of chip manufacturer Nvidia and Elon Musk's SpaceX.
