DKU NS arah setiausaha lapor polis desakan turunkan Yang di-Pertuan Besar

Negeri Sembilan's Law and Order Council (DKU) has reported police over a statement issued by the State Secretariat Four urging the state administration to comply with a proclamation to lower the Yang di-Pertuan Besar. During a special meeting yesterday, DKU decided to lodge a report concerning six individuals who signed the relevant declaration.

"Four of them do not hold the positions they signed the September 5, 2026 document," the statement noted. DKU said the actions of the six individuals, who aimed to lower Yang di-Pertuan Besar Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, while the conditions under Article X(1) of the State Bodies of the State of Negeri Sembilan Act 1959 (UUTKNS) 1959 were not met, can be considered unlawful both in custom and law.

"Signing a letter with the aim of lowering the Yang di-Pertuan Besar, while Article X(1) of UUTKNS 1959 was not met, using a title held position that one is not in, and issuing orders to state officials under the name of authority that is not legally held, all considered unlawful in custom and law. "The police report is a claim to enable investigation by the authorities."

DKU also reaffirmed Tuanku Muhriz's status as the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan as there was no lawful process causing his removal from the position. Separately, DKU stated that there is no need to establish a Fact-Finding Committee to handle the issue if its powers include matters related to customs, as this function has been allocated to DKU under Article XVI of UUTKNS 1959.

"This function cannot be represented, shared or presented for factual finding. The Council believes there is no need to establish such a committee if the committee's powers include matters of customs. "Therefore, the Council will seek formal clarification from the State Government regarding the terms of reference for such a Fact-Finding Committee."

The state exco meeting on September 8 discussed the proposal to establish such a committee for harmonious, harmonious and consensus-based handling of customs issues. On September 6, Chief Minister Ismail Lasim and the State Government expressed full support and loyalty to Tuanku Muhriz as the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan.

Earlier, the State Secretariat Four urged the state administration, especially state government officials, to comply with a proclamation allegedly signed by Ismail at the Blue Lotus Palace in Port Dickson on August 3 to lower Tuanku Muhriz as the state government. Ismail later said he signed the August 3 document under duress and had lodged a police report concerning the matter.

However, lawyers representing the four individuals who claim to be the State of Negeri Sembilan have contested Ismail's claim that he was forced to sign the proclamation and characterized it as a subsequent justification.
