Justin Herbert led the offense, but struggled with penalties, sackings, and turnovers, including a blocked punt and an interception.

The Chargers failed to capitalize on multiple possessions inside the Cardinals' 20-yard line, making it inside only three times and scoring two touchdowns. The Cardinals took advantage, scoring a 44-yard field goal to lead 13-7 at halftime. The offense's struggles continued, with Herbert sacked 54 times in the season opener, highlighting the need for improvement in areas like red zone efficiency and turnover prevention.
