Award-Winning WRITERS AT WORK Refines Signature Writing Programme for 2027 to Develop Future-Ready Thinkers

The Primary Writing Programme at WRITERS AT WORK, a Singapore English writing and enrichment provider, is being refined to better prepare students for future challenges. The updates, set to launch in January 2027 across seven centers, strengthen the proprietary STORYBANKING® method to promote independent thinking and focus. The program responds to how students today process language, sustain focus, and construct ideas, shaped by their technology-driven environment.

The renamed Primary Writing Programme retains its composition instruction but is now built around the skills students actually develop in the modern world. Three updates anchor the programme: flexible writing practice, integrated modules, and expanded STORYBANKING® content. Students now engage in guided or independent compositions, with the STORYBANKING® method adapted for varying levels of readiness.

Bite-sized situational writing, oral, and listening comprehension practice is also integrated to reinforce skills. The refreshed Comprehensive English Programme, covering Primary and Secondary levels, aims to strengthen students' ability to analyse questions and organise ideas. Managing Director Jemmies Siew emphasized that the updates aim to help students build the ability to think through difficult questions independently, rather than simply recalling techniques.
