A new take on the great East Coast escape

Kuantan, a city in Pahang, Malaysia, is often associated with its highlands, rainforests, and adventurous activities. The Swiss-Grand Beach Resort Kuantan, which has welcomed guests for nearly three decades, is now offering a refreshed experience under the new Swiss-Grand brand.

The resort boasts 306 well-designed rooms, ranging from Deluxe Rooms and Executive suites for two, to family rooms of 40 to 72 square meters. Each room is equipped with modern amenities, including floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light, and private balconies offering views of the South China Sea or the resort's lush tropical gardens. The resort's gardens earned national recognition as the first runner-up at Hari Landskap Negara 2026.

Food lovers will find a variety of culinary delights at the resort, with four dining options spread across the property. The Garden Terrace serves a wide range of local and international breakfast options, from warm bowls of noodles to freshly baked croissants. For lunch and dinner, guests can choose from a selection of local and international dishes, either à la carte or buffet style.

The Blossom specializes in Chinese delicacies such as handmade dim sum and traditional oriental specialties. The Deli offers a lighter menu, featuring freshly baked pastries, sweet treats, and savory favorites, all served with a cup of coffee and a gentle ocean breeze. Malibu is a more relaxed spot, open from 5pm to midnight, where guests can enjoy soothing music and a complete bar menu, including cocktails, spirits, and mocktails.

On Friday and Saturday nights, dinner is served by the beach with BBQ By The Beach, followed by a spectacular fire performance on Saturdays.

The resort also caters to different types of travelers. Children aged four to 12 can enjoy the Kids’ Club, while adults can participate in Batik painting and MasterChef workshops. Parents can work out at the gym, or try tennis and pickleball at the courts. The resort also features a Kids’ Splash Pool for younger guests and a main pool for everyone else.

Beach activities such as beach volleyball, mini soccer, and seaside archery are available to keep guests active and entertained. For a more tranquil experience, guests can relax in the shaded hammocks or the Soulé Spa & Retreat, which offers a peaceful escape surrounded by greenery and designed around the concept of "Soul and Ease".

In addition to its appeal for holidays, the Swiss-Grand Beach Resort Kuantan is also suitable for events and celebrations. With seven event spaces, the resort caters to corporate retreats, destination weddings, and HRDCorp team-building programs, combining formal indoor meeting spaces with fun, interactive activities on the beach.
