2027: Why Tinubu had no primary, secondary school certificates – Reno Omokri

Reno Omokri, the ambassador-designate to Mexico, has come to President Bola Tinubu's defense regarding questions about his primary and secondary school education. In an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme, Omokri argued that many Nigerians of Tinubu's generation did not attend regular schools, some were homeschooled instead.

He pointed out that at the time Tinubu would have been in primary and secondary school, most Nigerians were being homeschooled, making the lack of conventional school certificates less of an issue. Omokri challenged critics to produce evidence of their own primary school classmates, stating that they cannot. He also pointed out his own experience with homeschooling, both for his child and his Ethiopian wife.

Regarding Tinubu's tertiary education, Omokri cited the president's admission, attendance, and graduation from Chicago State University, with the school's registrar testifying in court to confirm these facts. Omokri stated that Tinubu is qualified for the position he holds and for the position he seeks in the 2027 re-election.
