Why Northern Women Ulama endorsed Tinubu – Uba Sani

Governor Uba Sani has revealed that Northern Nigerian Women Ulama endorsed President Bola Tinubu’s re-election due to his notable achievements and inclusive governance. Speaking at a stakeholders' engagement in Umaru Musa Yar'Adua Conference Centre, the Governor emphasized that the delegates, representing millions of members across the northern region, expressed their support for the president without any selfish motives.

They endorsed Tinubu because of the president's significant contributions in education, infrastructure development, healthcare, and agriculture.

Sani's stakeholders' engagement included Governors from Gombe, Yobe, and Borno states, as well as key government officials. The host highlighted that the Women Ulama are advocating for issues and praised the president for treating every part of Nigeria equally and taking development to each region. Within three and a half years, Tinubu invested heavily in both conventional and skills-based education, with the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) benefiting Northern Nigeria by over 60%.

The Governor argued that the north has thrived under Tinubu's leadership more than any other leader in Nigeria's history, supported by available data and statistics. He criticized politicians who campaign based on regional divides, asserting that they have had opportunities in the past but have failed to deliver as much as Tinubu has.
