Why Northern Women Ulama Endorsed Tinubu—Uba Sani

Northern Nigerian Women Ulama have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election for a second term due to his achievements and inclusive governance style, said Governor Uba Sani at a stakeholders’ engagement in Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Conference Centre on Sunday. The delegates, representing millions of members from the 19 northern states, expressed their support for President Tinubu based on his accomplishments in education, infrastructure development, healthcare, and agriculture.

Governor Sani highlighted the president's efforts to promote inclusivity and equal development across the nation, emphasizing that Northern Nigeria has benefited significantly from his policies. Within three and a half years, Tinubu has invested in conventional education and skills-based education through the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), benefiting over 60% of Northern Nigeria.

The women ulama endorsed Tinubu because they believe he is detribalized and committed to a united Nigeria without discrimination. Governor Sani argued that other politicians who campaign based on regional divisions should reconsider their strategies, as President Tinubu has accomplished more for the north than any other leader in Nigeria's history.
