Savannah Tigers maintain perfect start

Doma United secured their perfect start to the Nigeria Premier Football League with a 2-0 victory over nine-time champions Enyimba at the Pantami Stadium. Sadiq Rilwanu opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, followed by a second goal from Yusuf Fantami in the 76th minute, marking three consecutive wins for the newly promoted team.

This result gave Doma United nine points from the available five, with a clean sheet so far this season. Earlier in the weekend, Doma United had also won 2-0 against Sporting Lagos and followed up with a narrow 1-0 victory away at Inter Lagos. Meanwhile, Enyimba remains pointless after their opening campaign, suffering a 2-1 defeat away to Niger Tornadoes.

A subsequent match between Doma United and Shooting Stars was postponed due to the Aba club’s continental engagements, making Saturday’s game their first outing in over a month. Despite Enyimba's strong second-half efforts, Doma United held on to secure the points.
