Russian missile terror halts navigation in Black Sea – Sybiha

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, alongside his Polish counterpart Radoslaw Sikorski, highlighted the devastating impact of Russian missile attacks on Ukrainian maritime navigation in a joint briefing in Kyiv. These attacks have effectively halted trade and transportation in the Black Sea, posing a significant threat to global food security. Sybiha emphasized the urgency of restoring freedom of navigation in the region, stressing the importance of cooperation between Ukraine and Poland.

The minister also commended the European Union's role in reinstating the Solidarity Lanes, crucial for facilitating the movement of ships through the Black Sea. Additionally, he pointed out Russia's utilization of Baltic ports for exporting grain, a practice that the diplomat deemed unacceptable and called for vigilance against.

Sybiha's remarks come in the wake of President Volodymyr Zelensky's warning on September 11 that Russia's blockade of the Black Sea due to aggression is not only endangering Ukraine's food security but also that of numerous countries worldwide.
