Anduril teams up with the Polish government to start work on an all-new cruise missile to combat Russian threats

Anduril has formed a partnership with Poland's state-owned conglomerate PGZ to jointly produce a new cruise missile system called Barracuda-500M. This ground-launched missile is set to be manufactured locally as part of a long-term agreement between the two companies. The launch of the missile comes amid growing concern over Russian military activity near NATO's eastern border.

A full-scale mock-up of the missile was displayed at the MSPO defense exhibition in Kielce, Poland, where company representatives discussed the scope of the partnership. While production details are still being negotiated, it is unclear whether initial components will be shipped from the United States or if production will start immediately in Poland.

Anduril is also pitching two autonomous aircraft, the Fury combat drone and the Thunder rotorcraft, to complement Poland's future F-35 fighters and AH-64E Apache helicopters. The Fury drone is designed to act as a loyal wingman for the F-35 fighter jets, while the Thunder rotorcraft is intended to operate alongside the 96 Apache helicopters set to arrive in Poland by 2028.
