Qatar attends opening of Oman Climate Week

Qatar was present at the inauguration of the second edition of the Oman Climate Week 2026, which took place in Muscat from September 14-16 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. The delegation from Qatar was led by His Excellency Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Subaie, the Minister of Environment and Climate Change.

After the ceremony, Dr al-Subaie proceeded to explore the accompanying exhibition. He took the opportunity to inspect various initiatives, projects, and cutting-edge technologies showcased by participating government bodies, companies, and institutions. These offerings covered a wide range of topics, including environmental protection, sustainability, clean energy, resource management, circular economy, and climate technologies.

Qatar's involvement in the Oman Climate Week 2026 is a reflection of the nation's dedication to enhancing regional and global collaboration and partnerships in climate-related endeavors. Additionally, Qatar aims to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experiences in the areas of environmental preservation and the shift towards a low-carbon, green economy. This participation plays a crucial role in supporting collective efforts aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
