Mudavadi invokes Ntimama legacy, urges Maa community to demand more from leaders

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has invoked the legacy of William Ole Ntimama, urging the Maa community to demand development and accountability from political leaders in the 2027 General Election. Mudavadi shared his remarks on X following a commemoration event marking 10 years since Ntimama's death and the launch of his biography in Narok County.

Mudavadi emphasized that Ntimama's legacy extends beyond remembrance, urging the community to translate his political ideals into tangible development. He described Ntimama as a champion of dignity, land rights, recognition, and political respect, urging the Maa community to use the 2027 election to demand a clear development agenda for Narok.

"He urged residents to register as voters, participate in the electoral process and use the ballot to demand a clear development agenda for Narok, judging leaders by what they deliver, not what they promise," Mudavadi stated. He highlighted Narok's potential in tourism, livestock, agriculture, land, and other resources, arguing that the county's wealth should translate into jobs, enterprises, and opportunities for residents, particularly young people.

Mudavadi cautioned against turning community interests into conflict with other Kenyans, urging the community to demand their fair share without denying other Kenyans theirs. He linked the message to Ntimama's broader legacy of political empowerment and unity, emphasizing the importance of dignity, empowerment, participation, and unity in a stronger Kenya.
