MP’s Neemuch Ganesh Idol Artisan Goes Missing Ahead Of Ganeshotsav, Organisers Anxious Over Pre-Booked Murtis

Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh: An artisan who creates Ganesh idols, Govind Pal, has gone missing under suspicious circumstances from his workshop near D-Mart on Mhow Road, raising concerns among event organizers eagerly awaiting their pre-booked idols ahead of Ganeshotsav. Pal, who worked from a rented plot under the Neemuch Cantt police station, was last seen on Saturday night.

Organizers from Neemuch, Nathdwara, and Bhilwara gathered at the workshop on Sunday morning following news of his disappearance. Police arrived at the location and managed the situation. Some organizers suggested a dispute erupted between Pal, his staff, and organizers from Bhilwara on Saturday night, possibly escalating into a physical altercation.

Although police have not officially confirmed the altercation, rumors of a conflict between the parties have surfaced. Pal and his associates reportedly left the workshop after the incident. Police are investigating the allegations of a dispute and financial irregularities, such as Pal collecting advance payments for idol orders and then leaving without completing them.

Dozens of Ganesh idols of various sizes remain at the workshop, many requiring finishing and painting. Organizers are anxious about receiving these idols in time for installation. The Cantt police station in-charge, Saurabh Sharma, confirmed receiving reports about Pal's disappearance. Police are attempting to locate him using his mobile number and other contact information. Organizers who have completed their idols are gathering them after providing their details.
