Mahama assures Upper West of early construction of new Wa airport

The Chairman of the Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency for the National Democratic Congress, Ofori-Atta Evans, has expressed his admiration for President John Mahama's contribution to the community. He specifically commended Mahama for constructing a new concrete bridge at Akyem Abenase, which he believes has provided significant relief to residents and motorists who previously struggled with the old bridge.

Mr. Evans highlighted that the new structure has greatly improved transportation and made movement within the community and neighboring areas much easier. He emphasized the importance of this development, given that the previous bridge, built during the time of Ghana’s first President, Dr Kwame Nkrumah, had fallen into disrepair and posed safety risks to commuters.

When distributing over 6,000 palm oil seedlings to NDC polling station executives in the constituency, Evans explained that this initiative was part of a broader plan to support party members in establishing sustainable sources of income and enhancing their livelihoods. He stressed that the efforts of grassroots party members are crucial to the NDC's electoral successes and appealed to the government to continue prioritizing the welfare of these dedicated grassroots workers who tirelessly mobilize support for the party.
