The couple collaborated professionally, with Polansky co-writing songs for Gaga's 2025 album, Mayhem, and for her song "Glamorous Life" featured in The Devil Wears Prada 2 soundtrack.

Gaga had previously expressed her desire for motherhood, stating her intention to embark on that journey in a 2025 appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and a 2019 YouTube interview.
