Kerajaan junjung titah Agong siasat TH, Felda, bukan mahu ugut pemimpin Umno

Komunikasi Minister Fahmi Fadzil affirmed that the government consistently refrains from interfering in matters of the court and executive agencies when deciding to initiate or terminate investigations into any case, denying that the government's actions are meant to woo Umno leaders. He emphasized that the government urges the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim, to conduct a thorough investigation down to the root cause, concerning issues related to the Hajj Fund (TH) and Felda.

The statement was not made by the Prime Minister or the party, but by Sultan Ibrahim's statement, according to Berita Harian, in Kuala Lumpur. On August 8, Sultan Ibrahim declared that a comprehensive investigation would be conducted down to the crotch entwining TH and Felda, while stressing that all parties involved must be held accountable.

The previous day, Umno Kedah spokesperson Shaiful Hazizy Zainol Abidin claimed during the Umno General Assembly (PAU) meeting that the government was misusing institutions and agencies to tarnish the party's image, referring to former TH chairman Abdul Azeez Rahim and former Prime Minister's Department (PMD) minister Jamil Khir Baharom.

Meanwhile, Fahmi, who also serves as the government spokesperson, expressed confidence that the current administration could continue to serve at its best until the end of its term. "I believe we can do our best until the end of the term," he said.
