Europe's big names shine in Solheim Cup win over US

Europe's top golfers led the charge for victory in the Solheim Cup against the United States, securing a 15-13 triumph at Bernardus Golf Club in the Netherlands. Charley Hull, who had struggled in the first two days, delivered a strong performance in the singles, claiming a 3&2 win over Megan Khang. Hull's success boosted Anna Nordqvist's team, who had never been defeated on home soil in the competition since 2015.

Lottie Woad, ranked among the top 10 players in the world, also contributed with a 2&1 victory over debutant Auston Kim.

With Carlota Ciganda leading by three holes on the 16th hole, Europe secured the 14½-point tally needed to win. Veteran Ciganda sealed the victory with her strong performance against Jennifer Kupcho, who had earlier stolen a point for the US team with a remarkable putt on the 17th and 18th holes. Veteran golfer Angela Stanford praised the Europeans' strong finish, highlighting how they played to their strengths and came out on top in a crucial match.

The Europeans' rookies, particularly Spain's Julia Lopez Ramirez and France's Nastasia Nadaud, played key roles in the win, showcasing their ability to perform under pressure.
