‘Corruption, casteism, dynastic politics has ended’: HM hails 12 years of Modi govt

Union Home Minister Amit Shah celebrated the 12 years of the Narendra Modi government's rule, hailing it as a move away from corruption, casteism, and dynastic politics, towards a "politics of performance". During a press conference to announce the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan', Shah stated the campaign would run from September 17 to October 17, coinciding with Prime Minister Modi's birthday and 25 years of Modi rule in Gujarat and the Centre.

Shah accused the Congress of perpetuating the three major scourges of pre-2014 era, while the Modi government ended them and ushered in a new era of performance-based politics. He also highlighted the Modi government's emphasis on India's interests in foreign and defence policies, with 'India First' as the guiding principle. Shah praised India's economic progress, noting that the country moved from the "Fragile Five" to the top five economies, with a GDP growth rate of 7.8% in the first quarter.

Additionally, Shah addressed long-standing issues like Article 370, Naxalism, and the Northeast situation, demonstrating the government's commitment to internal security. The 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan', motivated by the slogan 'Jan Seva Hi Prabhu Seva', aims to involve the public in making India a developed country by 2047.
