PAS chief Sanusi Nor has called for a country-wide consultation meeting on party-list swapping, instead of limited discussions confined to individual states, according to Utusan Malaysia. Sanusi believes that discussing the potential swapping of parliamentary seats between PAS and Umno throughout the nation will facilitate adjustments in areas where each party can gain an advantage.

He argues that focusing solely on specific states such as Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu makes it difficult to negotiate and affect changes, as opinions and preferences vary across different regions. The PAS leader emphasizes that any discussions should take into account the whole country, rather than just particular states, in order to maximize opportunities for successful negotiations and ultimately secure more parliamentary seats for PAS.
