Zelenskyy says he is willing to meet Putin at G20 in Miami

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has indicated he would be open to meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin at the upcoming G20 summit in Miami in December, according to a recent interview with German broadcaster Deutsche Welle. The Ukrainian leader made the statement when asked if he would be willing to meet Putin if both were invited to the summit.

Zelenskyy emphasized that the meeting would be about finding a resolution to the conflict, not just exchanging words. The G20 summit, which includes 19 nations, the European Union, and the African Union, is set to be presided over by the United States this year. Zelenskyy's willingness to meet Putin comes as diplomatic efforts to end the conflict continue to ramp up, with US negotiators visiting both Kyiv and Moscow recently.

Zelenskyy also highlighted Ukraine's improved battlefield position compared to last year and reiterated his plea for more interceptor missiles to protect against Russian air attacks.
