Zelenskyy Ready to Meet Putin at G20 Miami Summit, Says Ukraine Needs 120 Patriots for Winter and Plans to Deploy Freyja System in December

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his willingness to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the upcoming G20 summit in Miami, provided an invitation is extended by the United States. Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of the meeting, stating that the outcome matters most regardless of the conversation's specifics.

The Ukrainian leader highlighted Ukraine's improved battlefield strength compared to last year, attributing it to Russia's heavy losses, with more than 30,000 casualties per month. He suggested that Ukraine may request 120 Patriot missiles to endure the winter and counter Russian attacks, with plans to deploy the Freyja system by December.

Zelenskyy also mentioned the recent visit of US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Kyiv, describing it as a positive gesture and respect for the Ukrainian people. He indicated that discussions regarding potential de-escalation methods took place during the envoys' visit, and a ceasefire on energy and grain supplies could serve as an initial step towards negotiations.
